Šokčev dvor Žuniči

Šokčev dvor – domačija v Žuničih

Predvsem za območje ob Kolpi, pa tudi ponekod drugod v Beli krajini, je značilna posebna stavbna dediščina – zaprte štiristranične domačije z osrednjim dvoriščem – dvorom. Ena takšnih je tudi Šokčev dvor, ki stoji ob cesti v zahodnem delu gručaste vasi Žuniči, postavljene na terasi nad reko Kolpo. Kot celota je domačija dober primer nekdaj prevladujočega, a skoraj izginulega ljudskega stavbarstva in ena redkih ohranjenih domačij takšnega tipa v Beli krajini. Zaradi svoje pomembnosti je razglašena za kulturni spomenik. V njej je danes informacijski center KP Kolpa.

Današnjo štiristranično domačijo zaprtega tipa sestavljajo; hiša, kašča pod katero so bili nekdaj svinjaki in pod (skedenj). Pravokotno na hišo je postavljena kašča, pravokotno na kaščo in vzporedno s hišo pa pod. Četrto stranico dvorišča zapira delno zidana in delno lesena stena, ki se odpira z velikimi lesenimi dvokrilnimi vrati. Hiša pravokotnega tlorisa je delno vkopana v breg in podkletena. Podkleteni del, razdeljen v dva prostora, je nekoč imel gospodarsko namembnost in je služil kot hlev in klet. Bivalni del hiše je razdeljen na tri prostore; kuhinjo in dve sobi; prva in zadnja hiža. Na dvoriščni strani hiše teče pokrit hodnik (gank), iz katerega je dostop do glavnega vhoda v hišo. Na ganku sta tudi zunanje stranišče in kablenik (umivalnik na prostem).

Osrednji del dvorišča je v preteklosti služil za gnojišče, danes pa predstavlja manjše dvorišče ali dvor, na katerem je tudi šterna (vodnjak s kapnico) iz leta 1930.

Na tovrstnih kmetijah je živelo več generacij ene družine. Gospodar je bil najstarejši moški v hiši. Gospodinja je bila žena najmlajšega poročenega moškega ali celo strica v družini. Živeli so v dokaj utesnjenih razmerah v zgornjem nadstropju, ob velikem mrazu pa tudi v hlevu.

Danes si obiskovalci Šokčevega dvora lahko po predhodni najavi ogledajo ohranjeno in obnovljeno opremo domačije, ter ob tem spoznavajo kulturno dediščino in območja Krajinskega parka Kolpa, hkrati pa uživajo v neokrnjeni naravi. Šokčev dvor pogosto v svojih prostorih gosti tudi različne prireditve, ter predavanja o vsebinah KP Kolpa za zaključene skupine.

Šolskim in drugim skupinam pripravimo poseben program (naravoslovni dan, učne delavnice, predavanja,…).

Mogoč je tudi ogled čebelarske učne poti, ki je edinstvena pri nas.

Najstarejši znani podatki o domačiji segajo v l. 1824, ko je zabeležena na franciscejskem katastru.

Šokčev dvor Žuniči – farm in Žuniči

Closed four-sided farm with an inner yard is a typical architectural heritage in Bela krajina, especially for Kolpa region. One of those also a farm Šokčev dvor that stands by the road in the west part of concentrated village Žuniči, set above the river Kolpa. As a whole, the farm is a good example of once prevailing but today almost extinguished folk architecture and one of rare well preserved farms of that type in Bela krajina. Because of its significance it has salso been proclaimed a culture moment. There is also an informational center of Natural park Kolpa in it.

This closed four-sided farm is composed of a hause, a granary, under which there used to be pig stalls, and a barn. Perpendicular to the hause there is a granary. The fourth side of the yard is closed by a partly wood made and partly brick made wall with a huge wooden two-winged door. House, with rectangular ground plan partly built into alope and was once used to serve as a atable and a cellar. The residential part of the hause is divided into three areas: the kitchen and two rooms – so called the first and the last »hiža«. Of the side of the hause is that is facing the inner yard, there is a hallway, an arcade (»gank«)., where you can fin dan outdoor water closet and an outside washbowl. Through that arcade there is also an acces to the main entrance of the hause.

The middle part of the yard served as a dunghill in the past, but today it represents a smaller yard with a rainwater-well from the year 1930 set inside.

In the past, more than one generation of the family used to live on those kinds of farms. The landlord was the oldest man on the farm, while the landlady was wifw of the youngest married man in the family. They lived in rather tightened conditions in the upper floor, or, during the water cold, even in the stable.

Today, with a preceding announcement, the visitors of the farm Šokčev dvor can take a look at preserved and renewed farm equipment and through that get to know the cultural heritage of the region, while enjoying the intact nature in the meantime. Šokčev dvor often gives out rooms for various events and lectures about Natural park Kolpa for groups.

There are many special programs for schools.

A visit to the beekeeping teaching trail, unique around here, is also possible.

 

The oldest known data on the farm go back to 1824, when it was registered in cadastre of that year.
